Salata de sushi - Sushi rice salad or how to get sushi in Romania!

For English version scroll down

1 castravete taiat fasii subtiri
1 lingura de seminte de susan prajite usor
100 gr de somon afumat
o foaie de nori (optional)
1 portie tamagoyaki (reteta AICI)

An adaptation of Paula G's recipe. I've made it so so many times since I've discovered the recipe. There are no Japanese restaurants in sight,or sushi for that matter,so I have to be resourceful. Finally, nori is available, but still no sign of wasabi, which I got via Uk from my cousin. So when  a girl has to eat sushi will settle even for a sushi salad! Forget that once I used to eat sea urchin (you might think I'm weird but I loved that stuff!) or eel, smoked salmon is the closest thing that can make me feel I had some sushi...or something like it!

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon wasabi paste
4 cups cooked white rice
1 carrot,julienned
1 cucumber,cut up in matchsticks
100 gr smoked salmon
1 sheet of nori,cut up
1 tablespoon sesame seeds,slightly roasted
1 portion of tamagoyaki (click HERE for recipe)

Blend vinegar and sugar ,until the sugar is melted.
Add to rice, little by little and taste it often so you won't drop in too much vinegar.
Add the grated carrot and the cucumber sticks. Cut up tamagoyaki and add it to the salad.
Cut up the smoked salmon and mix everything slowly.
Mix the soy sauce and wasabi. This can be added to the salad itself or in your own dishes.
Sprinkle nori and sesame seeds and serve.
